Why did you want to move?

"We sold our house of 18 years in Maryland back in early September. We spent many weeks looking for the perfect house in the only state we ever called home. In October I heard about a job opportunity at The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Gardens, but I didn't apply right away. I still loved my career of over 20 years with The Maryland Zoo and we were close to all of our friends and family. The hunt for the perfect house grew more and more difficult so I decided to take a chance and work at one of my dream Zoos. After three interviews I received the news that I had been selected and offered the position. I happily accepted and started to think about our new life in Ohio. There were some reservations about such a big change, but we all embraced this journey and took the leap."

What was most challenging?

"Initially the biggest challenge was finding the right realtor. We worked with a wonderful realtor in Maryland and developing a relationship was key at each step."

What surprised you most about the buying/selling process?

"I was mostly surprised at how fast homes were selling even with competitive offers. We didn't have a positive experience many years ago when we purchased our first home so I was hesitant to take that next step."

What was the BEST part about moving and/or over all experience with our team?

"We came to Cincinnati on 12/28/20 and moved into our hotel with no idea on when we would find our dream house. We met Brittney on 12/29 for the first time and saw more houses than I thought could be possible. She truly knew what we were looking for and helped guide us when we had questions along the way. She also made it clear she was there for us to find our right home and not to worry about her time or asking too many questions, which I always did. On 12/30 we found it...we were not 100% sure because it didn't have some of the wish list items, but it was the one. It was the perfect home for us now and to watch our kids navigate through the remaining years of school. She helped us navigate through the offer process to ensure we had a chance at this opportunity. I will never forget receiving her text message on New Year's Eve night and she was as excited as we were. The entire process was flawless and actually enjoyable. Her and the team guided us through the inspection, financing and closing details so thoroughly that we kept thinking something had to be missing. Our closing day was so special and she made it even more so with the perfect "Welcome Home" gift for our new house."
